Museum Press curator Ed Shunney demonstrates one of the Museum's nearly two dozen letterpresses to some
young visitors. The print shop also boasts a Heidelberg, Linotype, a Gordon Dream Press, hand presses, book presses
and many other tools of the trade, from 1853 to 1953. All are in good working condition and some get considerable
use. Letterpress workshops are offered in the summer.
Rich and Katy Bell, with daughter Roxa, were among our
guests at the 2016 Taste of Summer fundraiser.
The museum is quite familiar to Rich and Katy, who,
in 2014,worked with printer Ed Shunney in the print shop to
produce their own wedding invitations (below). (Fittingly,
the print shop is in the background.)
At right, the work in progress.
