Internship Opportunities

Are you looking for a career in the museum world?

A South County Museum internship provides insight to the inner workings of a small museum. This internship opportunity is open to high school and college students. The position is tailored to each participant's skill level and interests.

2021 Internship Program

South County Museum seeks volunteers who are passionate about helping us interpret, preserve, and present southern Rhode Island’s unique history.


Your commitment can be year-round, seasonal and special event-specific. We do require a commitment of at least one scheduled three-hour block of time based on your schedule during our open hours. Each volunteer must complete a two-hour introductory training session to become familiar with our organization. Job-specific training will be conducted by staff members while you learn by doing.

You will receive a phone call when your application has been received.

Are you 16 years old or older? If not, it's ok! We just need to know that if you will need to have an adult with you when you volunteer.
